Scientific American has been a premier science journal for more than 150 years. It incorporates news and and articles for both the amateur and professional scientist. It has an excellent reputation an dis respected by those inside and outside the scientific community. The content is hosted by EBSCO and uses EBSCO's platform for searching.

Coverage

The database contains the full text records of Scientific American from 1993 to the present day. In addition, it also contains full text coverage of Scientific American Presents and Scientific American Monthly from 1997 to the present.

Content

Scientific American has a wealth of information for both the professional and amateur. It contains information and articles from some of the premier experts in the field of science and technology. Covering breakthroughs in science and technology as well as debates and controversies, Scientific American is a leader in scientific publishing. Scientific American Presents and Scientific American Monthly are larger issues devoted to the exploration of one topic in a more in-depth fashion. Recent issues have included GMOs, Astrophysics, and the "Secrets of the Senses." Scientific American Mind is a newer publication specializing in the emerging field of brain science.
