Preparing your Bibliography

For this assignment, you will be required to use the MLA Citation Style. Remember, you not only have to cite direct quotes, but also text that you paraphrase. Anything you write that is not an original thought must be properly cited! When PA students plagiarize inadvertently, the fault typically lies with sloppy organization and note-taking. Many students lose track of the source of the notes that they have taken, and eventually come to believe that they are original ideas. Whether or not you mean to plagiarize is ultimately irrelevant. If you use the intellectual property of another without proper attribution, it is a violation of the Phillips Academy honor code. Can you protect yourself from inadvertent plagiarism? This tutorial will help. Read more about Plagiarism

TIP: Use the MLA style guides located at both help desks, or use this online guide to MLA Style.
